Holy Cross Church Tower Adventure!
A massive thank you to Martin at Holy Cross Church in Shipton for letting me venture up the church tower this afternoon to take these photos with my phone.
Such great views, although it was a bit of a squeeze getting up there. It was great to spot our boat from the top too!
You can just about make out Bridge 220 on the Oxford Canal just through the trees.
This is apparently the first home of the Virgin Records recording studio and where they recorded Tubular Bells by Mile Oldfield.
You can also see The Manor here and the lane leading to the church and canal.
Last week we enjoyed a lovely walk over these fields to Bletchingdon. Bobby our son has disappeared somewhere over there with his friend Wilf and a slay this afternoon. Making memories I guess – you never forget a snow day 🙂
Can you spot our boat? I can! Love this place.
So glad these did’t go off when I was up there. Not often you get to go up a church tower so this was a real treat.
All in all its been a love day. I am hoping though that tomorrow the roads will be clear and I will be able to get to my customers gardens. I have rather a lot to do before the Christmas break!
