I am so grateful to everyone who has said that they will join me on my walk for Bridewell Organic Gardens or has sponsored me after I wrote last month how this local mental health charity helped me through my depression.

The walk will start at 6am on Saturday 19th May 2018 leaving from Oxford.

The Team so far!

The team is building and if you would like to be with us on the day the please get in touch! We would love volunteers to help with opening the locks for the boat and helping with tea and cake!

Feel free to come walk for 1 or 27 miles!

  • Jackie MacKenzie (Refreshments)
  • Bobby MacKenzie (First Mate)
  • Fleur MacKenzie (Bosun)
  • Martin Wainwright (Walker)
  • Penny Wainwright (Walker)
  • Lee Bolton Smyth (Walker)
  • Dave Paine (Skipper)
  • Darren Bert Friend (Walker)
  • Robert Courts MP for Witney (Walker)

The Route

We’ll be setting off from the beginning of the Oxford Canal just off the north side of Hythe Bridge Street in Oxford at 6am. Bluebell the narrowboat will be cruising alongside the team all the way to Banbury.

If you are joining us on the day, you can keep up to date with our location on Twitter and Facebook as we’ll be regularly updating our progress on these throughout the day.

Will you Sponsor me and the Team Please?

Have a read of how Bridewell Organic Gardens helped me here. The reason that I am doing this walk is to raise as much money as possible to say ‘Thank You’ to this amazing charity.

If you could spare a few pounds then I would really appreciate it.

You can sponsor me and the team at virginmoneygiving.com/RichardTheGardener

Thanks for reading.
